UMCN Donates Relief Materials To Victims Of Munga Dosso Crisis

The Bishop of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria (UMCN), Bishop Ande  Emmanuel has led the UMCOR team of the church to distribute relief materials and cash support to victims of the Church crisis in Munga Dosso community in Karim local government area of Taraba State North East Nigeria.

UMCOR, is a United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), a unit of Global Ministries of the church focused on humanitarian activities that helps to alleviate human suffering in crisis area Globally.

It would be recalled that on the 15th December 2024 the Bwoi United Methodist Church in the Bunkabu Village was attacked by surrogates of the Global

Methodist Church in Nigeria leaving a 27-year-old Masoyi Fligha dead with about 10 persons wounded, necessitating the visit of the Bishop.

Addressing the victims and natives of Munga Dosso community on behalf of the United Methodist Church, Bishop Ande Emmanuel commiserate with

the families of late Elisha Masoyi and the two young children who tragically lost their lives in the recent attack.

"In the midst of this profound sorrow, I witnessed a remarkable spirit of unity and resilience within the community and this brings me great joy to share all these relief materials and Financial support to the affected families, and all the members of the community regardless of their denomination or religion, to assist them in rebuilding their homes" He said.

"This collective effort stands as a testament to the power of compassion and solidarity in the face of adversity,

unwavering support has provided not only

material assistance but also hope and

encouragement to those in need"

Bishop Emmanuel also, called on the Nigerian national security forces and police to take immediate action

to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible for these heinous crimes in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

"It is imperative that justice is served to restore faith in the safety and

is sanctity of our places of worship.

In this time of sorrow, we urge all United Methodists and followers of Christ to remain peaceful" He added.
