Hon. A.M Lauya Condemns Killing of Soldier During Peace Mission in Karim Lamido

The Member Representing Ardo-Kola, Karim Lamido, and Lau Federal Constituency, Hon. A.M Lauya, has strongly condemned the brutal ambush and killing of a Nigerian Army personnel by armed bandits during a peace mission along the Mashigin Kirya axis of Karim Lamido Local Government Area.

Hon. Lauya expressed deep sorrow over the gruesome murder, describing it as an unthinkable and barbaric act that stands as a direct assault on efforts to restore peace and stability in the troubled region.

"This act of violence is not only senseless but also a grave crime against the very forces working tirelessly to protect our communities. It is a perfidious height of barbarism that must not go unpunished," he stated.

He emphasized that the issue of insecurity requires a united and collective approach, calling on Nigerians to extend maximum cooperation, prayers, and support to the Nigerian Armed Forces as they continue their operations across the country to restore peace.

"We salute the courage of the fallen soldier who paid the supreme price while performing the ultimate act of service to the nation," Hon. Lauya added.

The lawmaker also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the GOC, 6 Brigade, the Nigerian Army Authority, and the officers and men on the operation, as well as to the family of the slain soldier, who lost his life in defense of innocent Nigerians.

Furthermore, Hon. Lauya reaffirmed his unwavering support for Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, in his directive to security authorities to track down and bring to justice the perpetrators responsible for this tragic loss.

"May the soul of the departed soldier rest in peace, and may his sacrifice not be in vain," he said.
