Governor Kefas Partners La Campagne Tropicana to Train 100 Youths.

Dr. Kefas Agbu, the executive Governor of Taraba State, has partnered La Campagne Tropicana, one of Africa's largest eco-resorts with over 40 years of expertise, to offer skill acquisition training to 100 youths from Taraba in Lagos state.

This training program is designed to equip young Tarabans with diverse skills across various fields as part of a larger plan to develop an eco-resort at Nwonyo Lake in Ibi, and other eco friendly projects in Gashaka, and Kurmi Local Government Areas

Recalled that the Taraba State Commissioner for Heritage and Ecotourism, Hon. Joseph Titus Nagombe, visited Lagos from January 3rd to 5th, 2025 to engage with the resort's management on the Governor's behalf.

Currently, 26 of the 100 selected young Tarabans are in Lagos for their training, with another group scheduled to follow immediately after the first completes their program.

Governor Kefas clearly views this partnership as an intentional effort to boost local tourism, protect the environment, and promote sustainable development in Taraba state.

La Campagne Tropicana's extensive experience in eco-tourism will provide a strong foundation for the trainees, imparting invaluable knowledge to them in hospitality management, resort operations and environmental conservation.

As the planned resort aims to attract visitors and create job opportunities, this collaboration between the Taraba State Government and La Campagne Tropicana has the potential to transform Taraba into a key tourist hub.
