Gov Kefas Applauded For Enhancing Security In Usumanu Village

Governor Agbu Kefas has been commended for deploying security operatives to Usumanu village in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, a move aimed at curbing criminal activities and restoring peace in the community.

The commendation was made by the village head of Usumanu, Junaidu Abubakar Kawu, during a telephone interview with newsmen.

Junaidu Abubakar Kawu expressed appreciation for the security presence, noting that it has helped to ease tensions and prevent a breakdown of law and order following the gruesome assassination of the former village head, Auwal Abubakar Kawu, six months ago.

Despite the heavy security presence, he acknowledged that occasional clashes still occur in the community. He therefore appealed to Governor Agbu Kefas to address both the immediate and underlying causes of the unrest in Usumanu.

According to the village head, land disputes remain the primary cause of persistent conflicts among residents. He urged the governor to investigate the issue and find a lasting solution to ensure sustainable peace.

Furthermore, the traditional ruler called on residents to embrace peace and unity, stressing that no society can progress in an atmosphere of conflict.

He also advised the youth to respect constituted authority and engage in productive ventures to facilitate the community's rapid development.

Junaidu Abubakar Kawu emphasized that peace is the bedrock of socio-economic growth and urged all stakeholders to work towards lasting harmony in Usumanu.
