Yuletide: Jubilation As Senator Haruna Manu Doles Out Rice Palliative To Christian, Muslim Constituents

 

It was a moment of excitement in Taraba Central Senatorial District as the Senator representing the area, Engr. Haruna Manu doles out thousands of bags of rice and provides a free transport to constituents for this yuletide period.

 

Our correspondent who witnessed the distribution in the zone reports that Christians and Muslims across the District were all beneficiaries of the senator's palliative.

 

Prominent among beneficiaries across the five local government areas that made up the central zone are less-privileged, widows, orphans, aged persons and the sick ones among several others.

 

Speaking at the event, a prominent stake-holder in the zone who also hails from Gassol local government area, Hon. Gawan Titus disclosed that the palliative which is over 2000 bags of rice were distributed across the five local government areas in the zone namely Gassol, Bali, Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna respectively.

 

According to Gawan, Sen. Manu has not only continued to be identifying with constituents alone but entire Tarabans as a whole, noting that under senator Manu's representation over 400 students have been trained in various capacities, with provision of laptops worth millions of naira, installation of solar power streetlights/transformers and establishment of primary health care centres/free medical test and drugs.

 

Others the stakeholder mentioned includes, distribution of over 5000 bags of fertilizers to farmers, recruitment of youth to military and police academy, education empowerment and construction of classrooms, just to mention but a few.

 

He further disclosed that the senator since inception of his political career has remained a man of his words who has kept to promises despite all odds and solicited for support and collective prayers for the national lawmaker to enable him to impact more dividend of democracy.
