P.D. Pius & Associates Share Over 2.5 Million Naira To 53 Students In Zing

In a remarkable display of philanthropy and community development, P. D. Pius & Associates Law Firm, via it's PD Community Development Initiative nonprofit organization, celebrated its 10th anniversary by awarding scholarships worth over 2.5 Million Naira to 53 individuals, including four persons with disabilities.

 

The event, held at Bizarre Hotel in Zing Local Government Area of Taraba State, was themed "Building and Growing Businesses Leveraging the Power of the Internet."

 

The team lead, P. D. Pius, Esq while delivering his opening remarks, stated that the initiative stemmed from a passion for giving back to his community and making a lasting impact. "The best way to live is to live a life of impact," Pius emphasized.  

 

The event attracted a large audience, filling the hall to capacity and even resulting in an overflow. Over 100 people applied for the scholarship, but only 53 were selected. Notably, four individuals with disabilities were automatically chosen. 

 

A medical outreach was also conducted during the program in Partnership with Rural Health Program, Zing where 78 persons were attended to free of charge. Various medical test were conducted for free including eye check and 4 persons benefited by getting free medicated glasses.

 

The Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, delivered a keynote address, commending Barrister P. D. Pius and his team for their consistency and dedication to community service. He called on others to emulate their efforts in fostering societal development.  

 

Grammy-nominated producer DeeYasso, who made a special appearance, encouraged attendees to harness the power of the internet for personal and business growth. "I am a testament to the positive impact of utilizing the internet effectively," he shared.  

 

Other notable speakers, including Crypto General  and Aminchi Nicodemus, highlighted the importance of collaboration, consistency, and dedication in achieving success.  

 

Beneficiaries of the scholarships expressed profound gratitude to P.D Pius & Associates for their efforts in alleviating their challenges.  

 

The event also featured a variety of highlights, including the cutting of a celebratory cake, goodwill messages, and after party.  

 

P.D. Pius & Associates further indicated their interest to continue to partner with development partners in bringing development to local communities and offering free legal education, free medical outreaches and scholarships to students in local communities.
