Kwajji Chiefdom Honours Prominent Sons, Daughters Of Yorro LGA

 

Kwajji Chiefdom in Yorro Local Government Area of Taraba State has conferred traditional titles on five distinguished individuals in the predominantly Mumuye community who were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the people.

 

In a colourful ceremony, the Chief of Kwajji Chiefdom, Alhaji Umaru Buba Nyala, a second Class Chief, personally presented the titles to the honouries at his palace in Pupule, the seat of the Chiefdom.

 

Those presented with the traditional titles are the Chairperson of Yorro Local Government Area, Honourable Martina Anthony as Naban Yorro and Kwalliyan Kwajji, Mr. Constantine Joel, the Permanent Secretary, Home Affairs and Social Services, Taraba State as Ajiyan Kwaji and Mr. Daniel J. Punkula, as Talban Kwajji.

 

Others are Firdausi Lucy Danwe, as Jakadiyan Kwajji as well as Alhaji Danjuma Adamu as Dan Madamin Kwajji.

 

With these titles, the honourories recognized for their dedication and service to the Community, have automatically become members of the decision-making body of Kwajji traditional Council.

 

The occasion was attended by prominent traditional rulers, religious leaders, politicians and well wishers.
