Taraba Chief Judge lauds Gov Kefas working relationship with judiciary

 

The Taraba State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has lauded the harmonious working relationship between the state government and the judiciary.

A statement signed by the Secretary, Barr. Talatu Abubakar Jen, on behalf of the Chief Judge, Justice Joel Agya, disclosed that the harmonious relationship between Governor Kefas and the judiciary has led to significant success in the development of the judicial system in Taraba.

"We wish to sincerely thank Governor Agbu Kefas for the harmonious working relationship we have enjoyed during his administration. The relationship between the executive and judiciary under the governor's leadership has had a positive impact on the development of the judicial system.

 "Within the shortest time of this administration, we have achieved more than ever before.

"Due to the governor's commitment and adherence to the rule of law, which is essential to the social, political, cultural, and economic wellbeing of the citizens and residents of Taraba State, the JSC has been able to achieve unprecedented feats.

"By providing an enabling environment for the state judiciary to function, the JSC has established a sound and well-functioning judicial system.

"It is with the cooperation of Governor Kefas that the commission has been able to approve the appointment of Barr. Useni Galadima as Acting Deputy Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice; approved the appointment of Barr. Victoria B. Barnabas as Acting Director, Area Courts Division; approved the appointment of Barr. Mohammed Lotto as Acting Director, Litigation, High Court of Justice; approved the appointment of Barr. Ishaku Umar as Acting Director, Litigation, Sharia Court of Appeal Jalingo; and approved the appointment of Barr. Philip Kwakwa as Acting Chief Registrar, Customary Court of Appeal Jalingo."

"The commission also approved the appointment of Barr. Christian Jonah as Acting Deputy Chief Registrar, Customary Court of Appeal Jalingo, and the appointment of Barr. Garba Samuel Garba as Acting Director, Litigation, Customary Court of Appeal Jalingo.

"It also approved the confirmation of the appointments of Victoria B. Barnabas and Aminu Misa Kunini as substantive Directors of Litigation, High Court, and Personnel Management for Area Courts, respectively, and adopted the sub-committee's promotion report from the interview conducted," the statement disclosed.

The commission thanked the Chief Judge, Justice Joel Agya, for his efforts in fostering a good working relationship between the executive and the judiciary.
