Gov Kefas Asks Ex African Badminton Champion To Scout For Talents Across Taraba With N10 Million, Hilux Van
In a generous effort to nurture young talent in Taraba State,Governor Agbu Kefas has released 10 million naira along with a utility vehicle to Mr. Jimka Bulus, Africa's two-time badminton champion to enable him scout for fresh talents across the state.
This kind gesture took place when Mr. Bulus proudly presented his medals and trophies to the governor at TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, Taraba State.
Mr. Jimka Bulus, a proud native of Karim Local Government Area, has made significant strides in badminton. He emerged as the champion of the African Badminton Tournament in both 2010 and 2011 and benefited from Governor Kefas'ssponsorship to attend the World Badminton Federation course in Egypt.
During the celebration of Mr. Bulus's achievements, Governor Kefas expressed his admiration, stating that Bulus has made Taraba State proud and serves as an inspiring example of dedication and perseverance. He encouraged the youth to follow in Bulus's footsteps by remaining focused and seizing opportunities for self-improvement.
The governor highlighted the rich human and capital resources of Taraba State, emphasizing that with proper nurturing, these assets could greatly benefit the community.
Mr. Bulus presented an award to Governor Kefas, acknowledging his unwavering support and sponsorship for the course in Egypt.
To give back to the community, the badminton champion shared his plans to visit all sixteen local government areas in the state, seeking out young talents to mentor and help cultivate their potential as future champions.
Additionally, Mr. Bulus expressed his appreciation for former Governor Reverend Jolly Nyame, presenting him with an award for his significant contributions to his successful career.
