Senator Haruna Manu Kicks Off Free Medical Outreach For Taraba Central In Bali



Hundreds of residents in Bali Local Government had benefited from a free Medical outreach organised by Senator Representing Taraba Central at the National Assembly, Senator Haruna Manu.

The Programme which kicked off in Bali Local Government Area witnessed a large turnout of beneficiaries.  

 The free medical outreach involved among others eye screening, covering surgeries, giving out of reading glasses and other required treatment for several health challenges.
   
Speaking during the medical outreach, Senator Haruna Manu represented by his Campaign coordinator and a former speaker Simon Dogara explained that the excerise will be extend to other local government areas in the zone .

The campaign Coordinator said he is confident that Senator Haruna Manu is determined in transforming the Taraba Central zone through different sectors one of which is the health.


Addressing the beneficiaries, the Principal Medical Officer of the Bali General Hospital, Dr. Danjuma Tunga said the programme was designed to meet the medical needs of people.

Dr. Tunga urged people of the benefiting council areas to take advantage of the opportunity to access free medical services which hitherto would cost them some fortune.  


Dr. Tunga appreciated the lawmaker for the initiative describing it as timely, promising to render a satisfactory service to the people.

The coordinator of the free medical outreach, Dr Dauda Korau and the Director national productivity service Aladi Achinugwu all appreciated senator Haruna Manu for the Initiative and described it as a tool that will go a long way in touching the lives of the people positively.

Over 40 beneficiaries who where battling with varying degrees of eye problems were attended to successfully.

 The Chairman of Bali Local government area Aboki Musa expressed excitement and appreciated the Senator for the programme.

Some of the beneficiaries who appreciated the senator Haruna Manu for the gesture said it was first of its kind in reaching out to the entire zone with such relief.

They described the gesture as a give back to the society and urged other leaders at various levels to emulate him.
 
They prayed that it should be a sustainable gesture in different dimensions that would change the lives of the people for good.

The medical outreach is said to be the first phase of the Initiative and Gashaka local government area is next in line.
