Reps Member, AM Lauya Empowers People with Disabilities

 
 - In a move towards promoting social inclusion and equality, the Member Representing Ardo-kola/Karim-Lamido/Lau federal constituency, Hon. Abdullahi M. Lauya, in collaboration with the Blue Gate Foundation, has empowered people living with disabilities in his constituency.
The empowerment initiative involved the distribution of 100 wheelchairs and 10 crutches to various groups within the constituency. Hon. Lauya emphasized his passion for ensuring social equality and integration, stating that the distribution was aimed at easing the movement and social interactions of people with disabilities.
During the distribution ceremony, the governor of Taraba State, represented by the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, commended Hon. Lauya's efforts for inclusiveness in his representation. He acknowledged that this was a significant step towards improving the lives of people with disabilities in the state and pledged government support for similar initiatives.
The Commissioner of Social Justice and Re-integration, Hon. Filister Irarimam Musa, also expressed her support for the empowerment program, highlighting its importance in supporting people with disabilities within their communities.
The State Chairman of the People Living with Disabilities, Ali Matuidi, expressed gratitude to Hon. Lauya for his overwhelming support, stating that the wheelchairs and crutches would significantly improve their quality of life.
