Governor Kefas's Foreign Trips Yield Positive Results, Creating Jobs in Taraba – Emma Bello

Governor Agbu Kefas's Special Adviser on Digital Communication, Emmanuel Bello, has highlighted the positive impact of the Governor's foreign trips, which he said have attracted foreign investment and created jobs for the people of Taraba.

In response to a news report criticizing these trips and referencing a survey from the National Bureau of Statistics NBS, Bello emphasized that the report failed to fact-check the data or consider the realities on the ground. He noted that any media outlet using NBS data should rigorously analyze it against actual conditions.

Bello in a statement  said a recent trip to South Africa brought partners to Jalingo who established the first-ever hydrofoam block-making technology.

He said this innovation is set to revolutionize the construction sector and create numerous job opportunities.

Bello also mentioned that Governor Kefas's efforts with Finland have led to a commitment to free education, along with investments in solid minerals exploration that prioritize environmental protection.

"The Governor's longstanding ties with the Czech Republic have resulted in a significant influx of tractors and agricultural partnerships. Meanwhile, collaborations with China are enhancing various sectors, including aviation, agriculture, and road construction. A recent visit to the JAC group in China is expected to improve the transportation sector, with high-quality buses arriving soon to reduce travel costs.

"Trips to the United States have facilitated investments in environmental initiatives and maternal and child health programs. With support from partners at the United Nations, Taraba is receiving funding to address desertification and other environmental challenges," Bello stressed

Bello noted  that while some collaborations may not yet be visible, the relationships and partnerships established with various countries, as evidenced by Governor Kefas's visits to their embassies in Abuja, will ultimately benefit Taraba in the long term.
