GOV KEFAS TO TRAIN 3000 YOUTHS IN MODERN BRICK MOLDING TECHNOLOGY, INTRODUCE ELECTRIC CARS

 

The Governor of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas has assured the Youth of the State of empowerment to enable them to live a productive life.

 

Dr Agbu Kefas speaking when he received Hundreds of youth who protested to the government house said youth will be trained on the block moulding machine acquired from South Africa and they will be empowered to participate in the ongoing reconstruction of schools.

 

Similarly, he said electric cars bought from China will soon arrive in the state, with the youth and the youths being the major beneficiaries.

He said that he is introducing the Education Trust Fund to provide loans to students in federal tertiary institutions adding that with the approval of Exco, he is going to commit N2 billion naira to the fund to programme when they graduate and are employed, they can repay the loans.

 

 

He told the Youth that he had them in mind and would do everything possible to improve their living conditions and urged them to cooperate and support the government.

 

Protesters in Jalingo the Taraba state capital who joined the nationwide protest against hunger and suffering, took to the Government House, Jalingo and the Governor of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas came out and addressed the protesters.

 

Dr Agbu Kefas who agreed that there is hunger and suffering in the land, said it is his responsibility to make sure that the youth gets the best in life.

 

He assured them that everything possible would be done quickly to help them and urged them to organise themselves in groups so that assistance could reach them.

 

After addressing the protesters, the Governor later met with some leaders of the protesting youth at the Exco Chamber Government House Jalingo behind the camera.

 

He disclosed that before the year runs out, 90 percent of the youth will be empowered and engaged.

 

He encouraged the people to be their brother's keeper and extend a hand of fellowship to the needy.

 

Some of the youth who spoke their minds at the meeting said they were happy with the Governor's leadership style and pleaded with the Governor to create platforms to engage more youths to be taken off the streets.
