Captain Mukhtar Yusuf: Making Impacts in Taraba State

Education 

Captain Mukhtar Yusuf has made significant strides in enhancing education in Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna LGAs of Taraba State. His impactful initiatives aim to provide quality education and support to students and schools in these regions. Here's a snapshot of his remarkable contributions:

1. JAMB Sponsorship: Over 100 candidates were sponsored and registered for JAMB 2024, giving them a crucial opportunity to further their education.

2. CBT Training: The sponsored candidates received training on how to use the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system, ensuring they are well-prepared for the exams.

3. Classroom Construction: Constructed and renewed 12 classrooms at GDSS Nguroje and provided writing materials for the term, creating a better learning environment.

4. Material Distribution: Distributed writing materials to several secondary schools in Sardauna LGA, including GDSS Mayo Ndaga, GDSS Mbamga, GDSS Nguroje, and others.

5. Orphan Sponsorship: Sponsored the education of two orphans in Serti, Gashaka LGA by covering their school fees, giving them a chance for a brighter future.

6. Roofing Donations: Donated bundles of roofing sheets to Modibbo Hassan Tsangaya School Nguroje and roofing sheets and nails to Hassan Mayo Sina Nomadic Primary School.

7. Primary School Support: Donated writing materials to various primary schools such as Mbamga Central Primary School, Nguroje Central Primary School, and others.

8. Debate Competition: Organized and sponsored a primary schools debate competition, awarding the 8 participating primary schools, encouraging intellectual growth among young pupils.

YOUTHS / SPORTS

1. Bought a set of jersey 2 original carpet balls to Golden platinum FC Nguroje.

2. Bought a set of jersey and a brand new carpet ball for sabon Gari young star football club.

3. Sponsored a team of 23 people to witness the final match of the BHK football tournament in kusuku and the presented gifts to the First prize winners, second prize winners third prize winners, best player of the tournament, best goalkeeper and the highest goal scorer of the tournament.

4. Sponsored a football match final in Gurgu by giving out all the needed materials and gifts to deserving winners.

5. Sponsored free tickets at various viewing centers in Gashaka, Kurmi and sardauna local government areas for AFCON final match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast.

HEALTH CARE SUPPORTS

1. Donated a bundle of mosquito nets, bundles of sanitary pads, cartons of detergents etc to Mayo Ndaga primary health care center (PHCC).

2. Donated bundles of mosquito nets, bundles of sanitary pads, cartons of detergents etc to Mbamga PHCC.

3. Donated bundles of blankets, sanitary pads, cartons of detergents etc to PHCC kakara.

4. Humanitarian supports to the destitute widows, needies and orphans in hospitals as Eid Kabir packages, very successful as more than 100 people benefited at the general hospital Gembu, 20 at PHCC Nguroje, 20 at maisamari, 2 in Gurgu, 4 in yelwa, 5 in kakara, 5in yerimaru and 5 in zongo Ajiya.

5. In a collaboration with internship students of Taraba state University donated 300 sanitary pads, facemasks etc for an awareness on how to combat toilet infections among secondary schools which took place in government science school Gembu and GDSS kakara.

WATER/ROADS AND OTHER SUPPORTS AND DONATIONS

1. Donated 100 Thausand naira (#100,000) to repair the Nguroje central mosque motorized borehole.

2. Donated #100,000 to maisamari central mosque building.

3. Donated bundles of ceiling, mats to a mosque in Goje, Gashaka local government area.

4. Donated mats, kettles etc to Muhammad mansur stadium mosque Gembu.

5. Donated bundles of ceilings, nails, roofing sheets (zinc) to Islamiyya school in Gembu.

6. Donated the sun of N50,000 to reconstruct the dilapidated part of Gembu road that claimed lives along Gurgu to sabon Gari Nguroje.

7. Donated #100,000 to Taraba Youths Round table (sardauna)

8. Donated 2000 bottle water to Dr Shehu Audu Baju the second on his 10 years anniversary as tabon mambila.

HUMANITARIAN SUPPORTS TO ORPHANS AND THE NEEDY

1. Donated and supported Alheri orphanage Jalingo with convenience materials like rice, spaghetti, detergents, maggi, etc.

2. Contributed and supported Gembu prisoners with bag of maize, rice, maggi, detergents etc.

3. Sponsored the clothing of orphans during the 2023 Christmas which was successfully been given out to the CAN wing Nguroje and ECWA church Gembu.

4. Humanitarian supports to widows as Ramadan packages which recorded 300 hundred women beneficiaries in sardauna, 200 in Gashaka local government and 200 women beneficiaries in Kurmi local government area.

5. Donated 200 bags to women as Easter 2024 palliative in sardauna, 100 in Gashaka, 100 in Kurmi local government area.

6. Donated and distributed more than 100 packages of food items to Gashaka, Kurmi, jalingo and Sardauna LGAs students in taraba state University.

7. Donated #40,000 to support tafsir in Nguroje central mosque during Ramadan.

8. Send delegation with supports to more than 20 love ones and well wishers for condolence.

9. Donated 50 bags of Rice to people living with disability in Gembu, sardauna local government area.

10. Free barbing service to orphans and children in Gembu during the Eid Kabir of 2024.

11. Free fuel pump to bike riders to transport people to Eid ground in Gembu on Eid Kabir of 2024, sardauna local government area.
