TY Danjuma Foundation, NGO Moves To RescueMalnourished Children In Taraba


 

The T Y Danjuma Foundation and AmatakhitswenVulnerable and Less Privilege Foundation (AVLPF) have concluded moves to tackle the rising number of children suffering from severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in Taraba State.

 

The Taraba State Coordinator of the T Y DanjumaFoundation, Mr Emmanuel Ishaku stated this in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital during a meeting of the two non governmental organizations.

 

He explained that the partnership is aimed at addressing the Malnutrition challenge and to put smiles and provide hopes to the affected children and their care givers.

 

Mr Ishaku expressed concern over the rising number of children with Severe Acute Malnutrition SAM in the state, saying despite the fact that Taraba State is blessed both in food and mineral resources, many children in the State still suffer from SAM.

 

He stressed that the Foundation is always ready to support in the area of health to save lives.

 

The Executive Director of AVLPF, Mrs Wabuji IshakuAdda Commended T Y Danjuma Foundation for stepping in to support AVLPF to save children in the state suffering from SAM.

 

"We are out to support orphans and vulnerable in the society by delivering impactful programmes and initiatives that address the multifaceted needs through awareness creation, training and empowerment" she said.
