Three Years Old Taraba Girl with Facial Tumor Needs Funds for Life-Saving Surgery
A three Year old girl from Jen, in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State is battling for life as a massive tumor that grew in one of her eyes has damaged the right part of her face and is spreading to the left eye.
The young girl who has been suffering with eye challenges from her first year, barely understood the severity of her condition. she has been scheduled for surgery at the Gombe State General Hospital but her parents cannot afford the medical bills.
Hannatu's father Mr Nicodemus said the family are traumatized by their daughter's condition but hapless due to their financial condition.
According to him, ever since they discovered the issue the family has been moving around for medical solution to the infection, he noted that they have been to several eye clinics, before being referred to the Gombe State General Hospital.
"We sought medical attention in various places, including Adamawa state, Nobis and Federal Medical Center in Jalingo, where the devastating diagnosis was confirmed, and we were referred to Gombe".
"We are pleading for help, because despite our efforts, we require support to ensure our daughter receives the necessary treatment from this aliment," he said.
Hannatu's father is making a heartfelt appeal to the government and stakeholders to provide assistance in helping his daughter overcome cancer.
"We urge the government, stakeholders, and individuals to help us and provide the necessary support to help Hannatu overcome cancer, we as a family have exhausted almost all our resources on her treatment, yet Hannatu's condition still remain a major concern for us we don't have money to manage the treatment".
Mr Nicodemus acknowledge that the girl's condition is a test of faith and that with the collective prayers and support of the community, God will grant her recovery.
