Taraba Receives Ventilators Donated By UNHCR


The Taraba State Government has received a much-needed boost to its healthcare system with the donation of 15 oxygen concentrators from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The donation was made by Irene Omondi, Head of the UNHCR sub-office in Ogoja, Cross River State, during a courtesy visit to the state. Omondiemphasized the critical role of the oxygen concentrators in saving lives, particularly in light of the state's healthcare needs. She also pledged continued support in areas like education and agriculture.

Governor Agbu Kefas, represented by his deputy, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, expressed deep gratitude for the life-saving equipment. He highlighted the positive impact the donation will have on the state's healthcare infrastructure and its residents. The donation ceremony was attended by top government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government and commissioners.

A practical demonstration of the oxygen concentrators was conducted to illustrate their functionality and effectiveness.
