Gov Kefas, Tarabans Hail Dantsoho's Appointment as MD Port Authority

Stakeholders and residents of Taraba State have continued to applaud the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA by President Bola Tinubu.

 

Various political stakeholders in the state described the appointment as a huge honour for Taraba State to showcase another one of its great human potentials to the world.

Taraba state Governor Agbu Kefas described the appointment of  Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as timely and apt.

Former Minister of Transportation Engr Muazu Jaji while congratulating Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho on his appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for doing the Taraba nation the honour.

 

The youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State on their part said the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho is a moral boaster for young professionals in the state.

 

Abubakar Buhari Mohammed said Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho brings to this role a wealth of experience and expertise that is essential for steering the affairs of the Nigeria Ports Authority. With over 20 years in the maritime industry, coupled with a distinguished academic background Dr. Dantsoho is well-prepared to lead.

The youths said his previous roles within the Nigeria Ports Authority have showcased his capabilities, surpassing those of his predecessors. His appointment aligns perfectly with the nation's aspirations for economic recovery, as his leadership promises to contribute significantly to this goal.

Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho holds a PhD in Maritime Technology, from the Prestigious Liverpool John Moores University, UK, an M.Sc in International transport from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK, and a B.Sc from the Prestigious University of Maiduguri.

 

Dantsoho has been in the Maritime industry for well over twenty-five (25) years, with skills in Maritime Technology, Ports Management and Operations, logistics, Business, and Strategic Planning, Project Management, and research/studies with international institutions, including the World Bank and Crown Agent UK.

 

He was also the former Port Manager of the Onne Port in Rivers State and served as the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Transportation Mua'zu Sambo Jaji.
