TAWASCO Resumes Water Supply To Jalingo After Gov Kefas 'Emergency Intervention'

Managing Director Taraba State Water and Sewerage Corporation Buba Musa Siam said this became possible by Governor Agbu Kefas
prompt response in ensuring that water is supplied to the customers to address the water challenge faced in Jalingo in recent days.
He remarked that its services were held as a result of a power outage following the vandalisation of the Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN mast on the Jos-Bauch axis.
Buba Musa Siam said the corporation has resorted to using its generator to ensure supply, adding that though it is for few days as the cost of diesel is high.
The Managing Director appreciated the prompt response of the Governor in ensuring that water is supplied to the customers to address the water challenge.
He urged the public to report any case of a pipe burst as the corporation now has an emergency team to address such cases.
Earlier governor Agbu Kefas has assured residents of Taraba state of his administration's commitment to ensure the constant supply of portable drinking water to the people of the state.
The governor stated this during an interactive session with directors of ministries boards and agencies, at the government house in Jalingo.
Governor Kefas called on the directors to rise up to expectations has more is needed to be done to move the state forward.
Dr Agbu Kefas, noted that despite government's efforts to address issues of lack of water supply and other social amenities in the state, there are issues of low availability of water to residents, hence the need for more proactive measures to be taken in order to provide water to the people as it is the obligation of the government.
The governor assured that as his administration will work towards ending the water scarcity, and other issues affecting the wellbeing of people in the state.
In another development, the governor mandated that henceforth all government projects must follow through the ministry of Justice, to ensure accountability, transparency and commitment towards achieving desired outcome.
