All is set for the New First Class Chief of Takum, HRH Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi to commence his reign after 28 years which the ancient city has been without a traditional ruler.

 

Takum town is currently agog with vistors trooping in from all over the world to celebrate the peaceful installation of a renowned legal practitioner as the First Class Chief of Takum.

Prominent among guest attending the official reception in honour of the New First Class Chief of Takum, HRH Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi includes Elder Statesman and Military Veteran General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma;  Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Plateau State Barr. Caleb Mutfang, Governor of Adamawa State Rt Hon. Umaru Fintiri among other dignitaries.

 

HRH Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi:

Born SOPIYA AHMADU BOKA DANLAMI GBOSHI on 21st Febuary, 1974 in Takum Town the Gongola State, graduated from the University of Maiduguri in 2007 with an LL. B (Bachelor of Laws) and was called to  the Nigerian Bar in 2008 after a one year post tertiary Council of Legal Education Training, Preparatory for Award of Certificate to call to the Nigerian Bar to successful candidate to practice Law in Nigeria as Legal Practitioner.

In September 2016 HRH Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi obtained a LL.M (Master of Laws) from the prestigious University of Lagos.

 

HRH Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi started his legal practice in Takum  with Tsokwa Kuru – Jidu & Co.

Solicitors and Advocates as a Litigation Counsel of the Chamber.

In 2010 HRH Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi moved to Lagos and joined B.B. Dan – Habu & Co. Barrister & Solicitors with a higher Responsibility of not only handling personal caseloads but also assisting other partners in high value complex cases. Also the newly minted royal father was in charge of preparing and drafting legal documents, such as Wills, Deeds, Patent and Corporate applications, Mortgages, Leases and Contracts Duties.

Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi is a  Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, dynamic and result-driven legal professional with a thoroughly productive background in advocacy and solicitation. Proficient in diverse Laws appropriate to different parts of Nigeria. Experienced in Civil and Criminal jurisprudence and other laws jurisdictionally restrictive to Northern part of Nigeria. Exposed and learned in frontloading Civil litigation system, Criminal Codes, procedure and heterogeneous laws obtainable in Lagos and other Southern States of Nigeria. Possess practical excellent skill in Arbitration, Litigation, Marine Law, Legal Drafting and Conveyance, Property and Corporate Law.
