Shaking hands with TY Danjuma, Gov Kefas Greater Than Car Gift’ ~Winner of Nwonyo Fishing Festival

Samaila Yakubu who emerged as the first-place winner at the just concluded Nwonyo Fishing Festival has said the honor of coming close with Elder stateman General TY Danjuma and Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas is greater than the car priced received at the fishing festival. 

He stated that on Sunday a day after the conclusion of the event when friends paid him a congratulatory visit at his home.

"I'm honored to shake hands with General TY Danjuma and Governor Agbu Kefas, because after the event, most of my friends shake hands with me too, stating that it's only in such rare occasions that national icon can be seen.

 

"Indeed, it's a very historic moment for me and my family shaking hands with TY Danjuma, Governor Agbu Kefas and other men of timber and caliber during the gift presentation, that moment is greater than even the car gift. Many people were amazed seeing me shaking my hands with them, therefore, I am very honored for that gesture.

 

He further expressed his gratitude to Governor AgbuKefas for reviving the historic Nwonyo International Fishing and Cultural Festival after a very long time of its absence.

 

Went ahead to added that, he was a lucky person among all of the people who participated during the fish catching competition session and will retrain himself again ahead of the next year event.
