Ussa Youths Drag Lawmaker, Joshua Rikupki For Supporting ‘Anti Kuteb Bill’

The Ussa Youths Initiatives and Kuteb Youths Forum are threatening to recall the lawmaker representing Ussa Local Government at the Taraba State House of Assembly Honourable Joshua Urenyang Rikupki for supporting a bill for the Creation of one First Class Rotational Chief and three 3rd Class Chief in Takum.

They said Honorable Joshua Urenyang Rikupki allegedly endorsed the bill without recourse to the stand of Kuteb Nation to rejecting the proposal in its entirety.

Chairman Ussa Youth Initiative Akata Ezekiel Chinda said they are totally sadden by the stance of Hon Urenyang Rikupki for failing to represent the wish of those who elected him to the state house of assembly.

Akata said Hon Rikupki is given 24 hours to come out and clear his name. 

"We shall not in any way condone sellouts and betrayals amidst us. We want to state that failure to oblige within 24 hours shall attract our anger.

"Regarding the bill that was passed by the State House Of Assembly. we wish to bring it to the glare that we are against the bill aimed at destroying our age-long heritage and further state that we shall continue to stand in defense of our heritage."

The Kuteb Youths forum said they have observed with greatest dismay the role played by Honourable Joshua Urenyang Rikupki since the submission of the executive bill by Governor Agbu Kefas to the state House of Assembly on the creation of three chiefdoms and that the traditional stool of Ukwe Takum to be rotated amongst the Kuteb, Kpanzon and Chamba tribes.

The Forum calls on Hon. Urenyang Rikupki member representing USSA LGA to explain his role justifying his stands and signature on the Rotation of the Takum chieftaincy stool, "we were reliably told that the Governor while reacting to his actions says that even our son in the House of assembly supported and endorsed the bill for peace to reign why are Kuteb people crucifying him.

"We are aware of the unholy romance between Hon. Rikupki and his Godfather Hon. Mark Useni who instructed and gave him order to support the bill to rotate Ukwe Takum stool. We are calling on Hon. Rikupki to return any money given to him and explain to Kuteb Nation on why he accepted to betray our kingdom.

"Furthermore the Kuteb Youths unanimously call on Honourable Joshua Urenyang Rikupki to within explain what truly transpired at the chamber of the state assembly which he was in sitting or face our democratic rights of a vote to be recalled from the Taraba State Assembly."

Senator Haruna Manu Begins Installation of Street Lights In Gassol Villages 

Weeks after installing large transformers in Taraba Central Senatorial District, Senator Haruna Manu has begun a significant project to install solar-powered lights in major streets across his constituency.

The installation began in Madrona, Garin Jibir, and Lomodu Villages of Gassol Local Government Area  as part of his constituency outreach.

Hon. Hamza Garba Jamis, leading Senator Manu's delegation, stated, "We are committed to brightening our streets to eliminate darkness, which hampers commercial activities. Normally, people would have been home by now, but we can see markets still operating and children doing their homework under the streetlights."

Senator Manu Haruna plans to install even more streetlights across all streets and corners of Taraba Central Senatorial District.
