Gov Kefas Expresses Commitment To Fixing Suntai Airport In Bali
Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas says he is determined in fixing the Suntai Airport in Bali Local Government initiated by the late Governor of the State Danbaba Danfulani Suntai for effective service delivery.
The Governor disclosed this while receiving the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of XeJet Air a reputable Air Service Firm Mr Emmanuel Iza who proposed to him the establishment of Air Taraba.
The Governor who described the proposal as a welcome development added that he has already awarded contract for remodelling of the Suntai Airport to make it World class standard.
Presenting the Proposal to the Governor at the EXCO Chambers Government House Jalingo, the CEO Xe Jet Air Mr. Emmanuel
Iza explained that setting up Air Taraba will enhance transportation and stimulate economic growth in Taraba State.
He said the proposed Air Taraba is a 50-seater Regional Jet Service that will provide domestic passenger services on Abuja-Jalingo routes and other roots to be created subsequently.
With the resuscitating of the Suntai Airport, Taraba State will have three Airports in its kitty, the Danbaba Airport in Jalingo the State Capital, the Suntai Airport in Suntai both established by late Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai of blessed memory and the Takum Airport established by retired General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma an indigene cof Taraba State.
Meanwhile, Taraba Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas has approved the distribution of Ambulances to all the 168 electoral Wards in the State to improve health care services.
Commissioner of Health in Taraba State Doctor Bordiya Burma made this Known at a meeting in Jalingo with the Chairmen of the sixteen local government councils in the state.
