Think-Taraba Initiative Congratulates Gov Kefas, Sues For Peace

The Think-Taraba Initiative, has congratulated Governor Agbu Kefas on the revalidation of his election by the Supreme Court.

They have also urged Tarabans to join hands with the governor in the interest of the state after the court's verdict.

The Think-Taraba Initiative, in their Congratulatory message to the Governor Agbu Kefas over the verdict of the Supreme Court affirming his victory as the duly elected Governor of the state in the March 18 election, has also called for a peaceful coexistence between Tarabans.

They noted that the Apex Court Judgement had put to an end all matters of litigation surrounding the election.

The group in a letter addressed to the Governor said they have counselled with oppositions, to sheathe their sword and join him in moving the state forward.

The letter reads partly, "We write to formally Congratulate Your Excellency, on your validation by the Supreme Court of Nigeria, which is the final arbiter and its verdict a clincher, in all matters of litigation in our dear country.

"Inarguably, it was an intense contest involving Taraba's sons, but irrespective, there must be an end to litigation and unhealthy rivalry; hence, we have counselled with the oppositions to sheathe their sword and join hands in moving Taraba State forward.

Furthermore, having expressed the desire of the entire state for their mandate given to you to be secure, You have put in all your efforts to protect it, it is of essence that we seek Your Excellency's cooperation towards seizing the opportunity of your victory, to put God first in all you will do, reconcile all Tarabans and all those that might have taken sides to file behind Your Excellency in truth and fair of God, with a view to not allowing the no love lost created by the gubernatorial contest to fester the more. This is being magnanimous in victory, Your Excellency.

Abide by the promised and the oath you took before Tarabans and God because it work, we thank you in anticipation with our sincere wishes for Godspeed, Your Excellency."
