Rotary District Governor Visits Taraba, Commissions Projects

The District Governor, Rotary international District 9125 has commissioned various projects that have direct bearings on the lives of the people and for the progress and development of the region.

The commissioning of the projects is part of activities earmarked by the Rotary club international for the visiting district Governor to Taraba State. 

Among the notable projects is empowering a girl child with complete baking equipment and commissioning of Chief Dr Philip Duwe Rotary garden at the Federal Medical centre jalingo 

In a remarkable move towards empowering the girl child by the Rotary Club of Jalingo Prestige in partnership with next Tsarba limited, the District Governor, Rotarian Sagab Sani Ahmed commissioned a girl child empowerment programme during his visit to Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State. 

The programme involves the provision of complete sets of baking equipment to young girls with passion for baking.

The DG emphasized the importance of gender equality and the need to provide equal opportunities for girls in all sectors, highlighting the potentials of girls to become successful entrepreneurs in the baking industry.

                     

Earlier In their separate remarks, the President Rotary club of Jalingo Prestige, Rotarian Clement Giwa and the Chairman, next tsaraba limited, Sunday Haruna said the empowerment is an effort to unlock the potentials embedded in gurls and urged the beneficiaries to put in efforts to better their lives and not take the employment opportunity for granted .

                      

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Amayindi expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club and partner for considering them worthy of the life touching gesture and promised to give in their best.             

The group then proceeded to the Federal Medical Center Jalingo where it commissioned the Chief Dr Philip Duwe Rotary garden with the aim to promoting healing and wellbeing,. 

The Dr Philip Duwe Rotary garden is equipped with various plants and flowers in a bit to create a serene and calming environment for patients and healthcare workers alike.

The DG expressed his satisfaction with the initiative, emphasizing the importance of green spaces in healthcare facilities even as he commended the Rotary Club of Jalingo Prestige for the initiative. 

                   

In addition to this, a tree planting exercise was carried out to by the DG, Rotarian Sagab Ahmed Sani with other prominent Rotarians, which include Rotarian Joshua Hassan, the District Rotary Foundation Chair and past District Governor, Kashim Yakubu, District executive Secretary and the Assistant Governor, Rotarian Jerry Oliver.
