Musa Gauri Re-elected Taraba NURTW Chair.
The National Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has inaugurated new officials for the Taraba state council.
The newly elected officials are Alhaji Ahmadu Musa Gauri as the chairman, Alhaji Sani Hamman Gabdo Mafindi as the vice chairman, and Mr. Nuhu Adi Emmanuel JP as the treasurer.
Additionally, 16 other officials were also inaugurated, marking a fresh beginning for the NURTW in Taraba state.
Representing the acting national president of NURTW, Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore, the vice president, Alhaji Bello Musa, expressed gratitude towards the officials and delegates of Taraba state council for their outstanding work and the successful conduction of the election.
He commended their dedication and emphasized the importance of inclusivity and fair representation in discharging their duties.
Acknowledging the collaborative efforts of various security agencies, Alhaji Musa also expressed gratitude to Dr. Agbu Kefas, the governor of Taraba state, for his involvement and support of the NURTW.
The acting national president urged the newly inaugurated officials to work diligently and strive for remarkable achievements in the state.
Chaired by Mr. Khalid, dispatched from the national office in Abuja, the national working committee oversaw the election process.
Mr. Khalid explained that the tenure for these newly elected officials of the NURTW is set at four years, as per the union's regulations. He highlighted the significance of conducting regular elections, allowing members to choose their leaders in accordance with the union's laws.
Furthermore, the sector commander of the Nigeria Road Safety Corps in Taraba State, Md Bello, emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations in order to combat road accidents.
He urged all members of the union to diligently follow these guidelines during their daily work.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated leaders of Taraba state, Chairman Alhaji Amadu Musa Gauri, represented by Vice Chairman Alhaji Sani Hamman Gabdo Mafindi, expressed gratitude to the national body for their tireless efforts in ensuring the success of the occasion.
He assured fellow members of the union that they would work hand in hand to advance the leadership and progress of the NURTW in the state.
Furthermore, he extended his gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, for his unwavering commitment to the union in Taraba state.
