Army Commandant Task Churches On Security

The Commandant of six Brigade of Nigeria Army Jalingo, Brigadier General Frank Sunday Etim says security of lives is a collective responsibility.

The Commandant stated this while playing host to the leadership of the United Methodist Church of Nigeria, led by the Resident Bishop of the church, John Wesley Yohanna Munga during a familiarization visit at the Nigeria Army Six Brigade Jalingo.

The Brigadier who noted the state insecurity at the global level, stressed the need for collective efforts of citizenry towards fighting the menace.

General Frank also said that to achieve a free crime society, a multidimensional strategies t from family, Community, group and individuals efforts need to be adopted to tame the tide criminality.

The Military Officer appreciated the Bishop and the cabinets for identifying with the Brigade, assuring the team of the military maximum support for the expansion of the gospel and activities of the church.

He said the church is a big avenue of global reformation, hence for the intentional duty for the protection of lives.

General Etim solicited prayers and support of the UMCN church, for the effective service of military, noting that the personnel need support to thrive in the course of discharging their duty.

Earlier, the Resident Bishop of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria,John Wesley Yohanna Munga said the team were in the Brigade to familiarize itself with the military for the rigorous efforts exhibiting in Taraba state.

Bishop John Wesley Yohanna expressed concern on the increasing nefarious activities of the men of the world on people, and asked for more efforts to tame the tide of criminality and the related activities.

Yohanna Munga assured the military of support to enable the personnel carry their assignments successfully in Taraba state. 

The meeting ended with intensive discussions on issues that involve security of lives and assurance of synergy to run effective service to humanity among others.
