CoE Zing Student Losses Academic Documents, Cash To Fire Outbreak, Seeks Assistance

A 300-level student of the College of Education Zing, Miss Sandra Isa has lamented a devastating fire that resulted in the loss of her primary and secondary school documents, relevant college documents, cash, clothes, and estimated food items worth thousands of naira.

 

According to Miss Sandra Isa, the fire originated from within the premises of the College of Education Zing and quickly spread to nearby areas, engulfing her personal belongings and valuable documents. 

 

She said the fire incident has left her in a critical situation, urging the new Provost of the college Professor Ejika Sambo to meticulously investigate the matter and address her plights.

 

The  student expressed deep concern over the loss of her primary and secondary school documents, as these are critical for future educational and professional endeavors, noting that the destruction of relevant college documents might hinder her academic progress and result in administrative complications.

 

Also Miss Sandra Isa added that she suffered a financial setbackafter losing ninety-five thousand naira in cash to the incident. 

 

"The fire also ravaged my clothes, leaving me with limited options and I need assistance to rebuild my wardrobe."

Appealing to the new Provost of the College of Education Zing, Miss Sandra Isa called for a thorough investigation into the fire incident. She emphasizes the urgency of the matter, as she now faces not only the physical and emotional loss but also significant financial difficulties.

 

In response to this distressing situation, it is expected that the new Provost, in collaboration with relevant college authorities, will initiate a comprehensive investigation into the fire incident. Such an investigation is crucial not only to determine the cause of the fire but also to identify preventive measures to avoid future incidents.

 

Additionally, it is hoped that the college administration, student bodies, and well-meaning individuals within and outside the college will rally behind Miss Sandra Isa, providing her with the necessary support to recover from this devastating incident.
