Pupule Residents Want Gov Kefas To Appoint Hon Markus Ishaya As Yorro LG Boss

The Executive Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas has been called upon to appoint the immediate Councilor representing Pupule C ward, in Yorro Local Government Area Hon Markus Ishaya as the next chairman of the Local Government Council.

Residents of Pupule ward said that, the achievements recorded by Hon Markus Ishaya during his tenure as a councilor was far better than those who had the privilege of chairing the Council.

A PDP youth leader in the area Ibrahim Vomako said the people of Yorro don't want old people as local government chairman, Dr. Kefas administration is a youths oriented government and this young man performed better than many local government chairmen in Taraba state in the last five years

PDP Women leader, Mrs Vasty Yatha pointed out that during his tenure he drilled two boreholes in different communities, rehabilitated over 16 boreholes back to life in the area to give his people portable drinking water.

She said Hon Markus Ishaya distributed over 50 motorcycles to the youths across the Local Government Area to reduce youth's joblessness and restiveness as a councilor.

"Hon Markus Ishaya is a young person who have the development of Yorro at heart, particular the youths, as a councilor he facilitated the recruitment of 11 Youths in the area to the Nigerian police Force and Army in order to stem the tide of criminal activities among the youths in the Area.

"The councilor also constructed a six metres box culvert and eighty (82) two metre drainage in Boboli Mang, Maban Zing Road, Pupule C Ward all in Yorro Local Government area of the state to ease transportation and enable his people to transport their produce to the market.

"Due to his landmark achievements, he received several awards of hardworking and excellence from both powerful and sprinted individuals."

 Kpanti Kaden Yuzoko said the residents are recommending Hon, Markus Ishaya to Governor Kefas based on his antecedents

"What interest us is that the Councilor achieved all these feats at the time when the State was experiencing paucity of funds. These are a few things he achieved as Councilor. Based on these track records we believe that if given the opportunity to govern the Local Government Council Area, he will impact more life in no small measure."
