Process Wood Producers Sack Hon. Isa Nawe As Chairman
The Process Wood Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria (PROWPMAN) in Taraba State has sack Hon. Isa Nawe as its chairman for being incompetent to run the affairs of the association.
They also accuse Hon Nawe of failing to remit millions of Naira generated revenue collected from members to the National headquarters and diverted the office equipment for his personal use.
The association also passed a resolution appointing Comr. Nwunuji Rimamtenrikwen in acting capacity to pilot the affairs of the association for the main time pending when it would formalize procedures to fill in the vacancy.

"In sequence to series of complaints from state Executives on ways and manners the chairman is operating the union, attempt has been made by the National executives to addressed the issue which led to our first meeting at Lokoja the headquarter of Kogi State with our national body with a follow up delegations from Lagos to Jalingo the state headquarter of Taraba State and lastly the national vice-chairman visit on same issue last November 2022 which the Taraba State Chairman admitted and promised to change from his abnormal operations but later fail to abide by his word of promise.
"Nawe's refusal to use the Association Account since his assumption in office which is against the constitution despite the existence of corporate Account with Fidelity Bank Plc and Zenith Bank in the name of association.
"National remittance-since our inauguration as Taraba State Chapter of the union, we generated millions of Naira through our revenue collected from our members, no naira was remitted to the National headquarters and it's affecting our afforestation project in the state.
"Office Equipment; the union has State office located in Jalingo, along Barde way, adjacent to old high court. Millions of naira was spend to furnish the office. The chairman diverted the office equipment for his personal use Without the notice of State EXCO'S and the Secretary who by constitution is the custodian of the office equipment," a resolution signed by ten exco members of the union stated.
