Now Is Time For Governance!
Taraba state governor, Col. Kefas Agbu has expressed his readiness to face governance headlong, declaring that his administration will give premium to security and social amenities to place the state among contending Nigerian states in teams of developers.
Governor Agbu Kefas has directed that workers salaries be paid not later than Monday, 5th June 2023.
The Governor on his first day in office has directed the Head of Service, Accountant General and Bankers to pay the salaries of Civil Servants in or before Monday, 5th June 2023.
He had earlier summoned the Head of Service and Accountant General to explain officially why the May salaries has not been paid.
The Governor reinterated his commitment to his "Moving Forward" mantra and insisted that all organs of government must bring all hands on deck to make his vision possible.
Governor Kefas noted that his desire for a secured state is a duty every stakeholders must achieve within 100 days of his administration, urging all key players to be partners in progress.
Agbu noted that tackling insecurity and introducing policies that would attract social amenities for improving the development of the citizens as well as the state, would be the priority of his government.
Agbu also called on the citizens to forget political differences and join hands with his administration to fight the common front of developing Taraba state.
"My administration would focus on ensuring the unity of Tarabans to win the fight against insecurity to attract social amenities. My administration's target is to place Taraba among the contending Nigerian state in teams of development and the general well-being of the citizens.
"I want all citizens to forget political differences and join us to fight the common front of developing Taraba state" Agbu pledged.
"I have a grand vision of a new Taraba State. But I cannot do it alone. I therefore seek the support and cooperation of everyone to make this happen. I call on all political parties to unite in the best interest of our dear state. Election is over. Now is the time for governance. Tarabans should therefore feel free to approach us with fresh ideas in line with our manifesto. For the purpose of emphasis, I will be a Governor for all Taraba people regardless of differences in language, faith, political affiliation or any other considerations."
