‘Maihanchi Family Still Mourning, Did Not Present Anybody For PDP Ticket’

The Maihanchi family did not endorse any family member to be considered for PDP ticket for Jalingo, Yorro Zing federal constituency as the family is still mourning the death late Member Elect, Hon. Ismaila Yusha'u Maihanci, a member of the family said.

 

Ibrahim Yusha'u Maihanchi, biological brother to Late Isamila Maihanchi in a statement said elders of the Maihanchi Family will not decide without consulting  the political associates of late Hon. Ismaila Yusha'u Maihanci.

 

He said  even though it's so sad to start joining issues while still mourning the death of our brother, we deem it necessary to clarify the burning issue trending on social media and in some other media. 

 

 He wondered how some family members are interested in the political office than mourning the late Hon. Ismaila Yusha'u Maihanci. 

 

"We find the information to be the handiwork of mischievous elements who want to hide under the umbrella of the media to cause division in Maihanchi's family and the political structures of late member-elect as the family is yet to decide on who should replace late Maihanci if a chance is given to the family. 

 

"It's important for the public to understand that late Isma'il Yushau Maihanchi political family comprised of  family member, political associates , social media team, friends and even the campaign council, which before any solid decision to be taken  some members of the aforementioned group must be consulted. 

 

Meanwhile the Media Team of Jabir Luqman Maihanci, one of the closest and confidant family member to the late Member elect, has said their principal is competent enough to keep the legacies of late Ismila by representing Jalingo/Yorro/Zing federal constituency.

 

They described Hon. Jabir Maihanchi as part of brains behind some of the success recorded by the late politician.

 

The team said several calls from within and outside the state for Jabir Lukman Maihanci to consider replacing his late brother, who was the most closest to him when he was alive and but anytime he receives such a call, "he keeps giving the same answer: I'm still mourning my brother and at the same time studying the situation and seeing what is right for me and my people ''. 

 

One of the political associates of late member elect Hon. Ismaila Yusha'u Maihanchi who pleaded anonymity told Taraba Truth and Fact that late Maihanchi was voted across the political parties within the constituency of Jalingo, Yorro, Zing because of his distinguished record in politics, it's not fair for the family and political associates for someone to be so desperate and lie to the public even when still in mourning .
