80% Of Nominees From Donga Worked Against Governor Kefas During Election- PDP Chamba Youths

The PDP Chamba Youths of Donga Local Government has said over eighty percents of proposed nominees from the Chamba axis within the PDP in Donga Local Government worked against the victory of Dr Agbu Kefas during the governorship election. 

In an open letter signed by Bobzom Gargea and ten others, the PDP group said they are surprised as those who worked for His Excellency AGBU Kefas and the Party were not mentioned on the list.

The group also noted that some of the nominees did not meet the 80% youth requirements as requested for by the governor.

PDP CHAMBA YOUTHS DONGA LOCAL GOVERNMENT

A COMPLAIN LETTER AGAINTS THE PROPOSED APPOINTMENTS NOMINEES FROM THE CHAMBA PDP DONGA

We write to draw the attention of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Taraba State to a proposed list of nominees from the Chamba axis within the PDP in Donga Local Government for your consideration for appointments.

Truth be told, 80% of them were engaged in anti-party activities during the last elections. Some of them were seen buying votes for the APC openly and did not participate in the processes that brought PDP to victory. We are surprised as those who worked for His Excellency AGBU Kefas and the Party were not mentioned on the list.

The first proposed list they submitted include the following:

1. Hon. Taninga Binga – Commissioner nominee

2. Hon. Joel Sungbaa – Commissioner nominee

3. MR. Paninga Billeya – Commissioner nominee

4. Mr. Nuga Gargea – Chairmanship nominee

5. Hon. Garleya G. Suntai – Chairmanship nominee

6. Mr. Gamuga Nyondamuga – Chairmanship nominee

7. Hon. Hassan Garduya – Adviser nominee

8. Hon. Panunga Bobga Jila – Adviser nominee.

From the above list, only Hassan Garduya did not engage in anti-party activities. The list resulted in serious protests by the Chamba youths who never knew some of them in PDP. After much agitations, some names were dropped and the following names were re-submitted:

1. Taninga Binga - Commissioner nominee

2. Joel Sungbaa - Special Adviser nominee

3. Pan8unga Bobga Jila – Special Adviser nominee

4. Garleya Gambo Suntai – Chairmanship nominee

We outrightly reject this lopsided move to impose these persons on us even as there was no wider consultation before their nominations and in the interest of our Party. Some of them did not meet the 80% youth requirements of His Excellency.
