Chieftain To APC Leaders: We Can't Win Taraba With Bwacha As Our Candidate
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and Coordinator, Taraba APC Concerned Youth for Unity and Good Leadership Comrade Jamilu Bawa has said the party cannot win Taraba state if it retain Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as its governorship candidate for the forthcoming election.
Addressing a press conference in Jalingo, Comrade Jamilu Bawa lamented that since Senator Bwacha's defection to the APC, the party fold has been engendered with so much acrimony, rancour, discord and disunity.
Bawa calls on the APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders of the party both at National and state level to be wary of the temptation of presenting Senator Emmanuel Bwacha during the forthcoming APC Presidential Rally in Taraba State as the Governorship Flag bearer of APC in Taraba State, saying any attempt to do otherwise will portray the party as anti-democratic party.
Senator Bwacha defection to APC from PDP is a curse in disguise because his coming to the party fold has engendered so much acrimony, rancour, discord and disunity. He is practically a lone ranger in his bid to fly the party Governorship ticket in Taraba State. He has murdered peace and unity of APC in Taraba State. He is fighting virtually everyone he met in the party.
He said Senator Emmanuel Bwacha claims that he is the only one who can bring victory to the party is baseless and should be discountenance.
"Bwacha does not consult APC leaders in Taraba State before taking critical decisions that has potential to make or mar the party. His beliefs and political philosophy is antithetical to democratic norms. In short, there has been accusation in several quarters that Bwacha has never won any elections in Taraba State. His emergence has only been characterized with thuggery, violence and rigging and that was why even the last APC Gubernatorial primary election, Bwacha sat in his parlour and wrote result and the declaration of his emergence was done at the DanbabaSuntai Airport, Jalingo. Reacting to these allegations Spokesperson of the Bwacha Campaign Council. Aaron Artimas while reacting to Bawa's utterance on Bwacha not having the capacity to win the election described the comments as frivolous.
He further said that candidacy are determined by laws and not sentiments and if he had the locus standi to oppose the status quo, he should have done that a long time ago in court.
"As the spokesperson of APC in Taraba State, I know every chieftain and stakeholders of our Party, Comrade Jamilu Bawa is not recognized by our party and he is not in a position to make these statements," Artimas said.

Good morning distinguished ladies and gentlemen. It is indeed a great pleasure and excitement to congregate here today to lend our voices under the banner of this umbrella to set the record straight.
Taraba State APC chapter was known to be a united one indivisible party before the crocodile defection of Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the Senator representing Taraba South in the Red chamber of the National Assembly. Since the Senator purported defection to APC there has been one problem or the other due to his penchant for anti-democratic tendencies.
He has practically and egregiously done an irredeemable harm to the party unity in Taraba State. He has in cahoots with personalities like him within the APC fold in Taraba State disunited the party because of his inordinate ambition to govern Taraba State.
Gentlemen of the press, let it be on record that Taraba State in the eyes of the law has no authentic governorship candidate in the APC.
The reasons being that the victory of the purported Governorship candidate is being challenge in court and presently the matter is before the Supreme Court of Nigeria for adjudication. So long as Supreme Court has not adjudicated on the matter, whoever parade himself as the authentic governorship candidate is only doing that at his own peril and self adulation.
We are, based on the foregoing, using this medium to call on the presidential candidate of our party, the National Chairman of our party, the state chairman of our party and other very important figures in the party both at National and state level to be wary of the temptation of presenting Senator Emmanuel Bwacha during the forthcoming APC Presidential Rally in Taraba State as the Governorship Flag bearer of APC in Taraba State. Any attempt to do otherwise will portray our party as anti democratic party.

Yusuf is a classical example of party leaders who have won elections for the party twice in Taraba State. Yusuf A. Yusuf is a two time Senator under the banner of our party, APC.
Since Senator Bwacha defection to APC, the party has suffered so much with regard to unity. He has wantonly and audaciously alienated the builders of the party in the party affairs. He runs the party like his personal enterprise. Those who have nurtured the party to the state he met it, he wasted no time to hound and relegate them to the background. He is so pompous and egotistical. He is of the erroneous beliefs that he can do it alone. He has waged war against the ardent promoters and financiers of the party. People like Senator Yusuf A. Yusuf, Chief David Sabo Kente, Engr. Saleh Mamman, Dr. Anthony Manzu and many others APC stalwarts, who have been financing the party activities before Bwacha defection to the party has suffered alienation and relegation.

Additionally, let use this medium to inform our presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be careful with Bwacha, not to repose even iota of confidence in him. Bwacha is totally averse to APC Muslim/Muslims presidential ticket, he has been campaigning in Christian dominated communities for Peter Obi of Labour Party. Therefore, Bwacha should be treated with utmost caution because he has proven to be, not only a religious extremist, but also a religious bygot. He is only concern with his victory as APC Governorship candidate, and anyone else can go to hell.
He is overwhelmingly desperate and excessively fixated to govern Taraba State.
Let use this medium to call on our leaders within APC to be circumspect and cautious in dealing with the purported Governorship candidate of our party, APC, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha.
Senator Emmanuel has remained an unrepentant and inveterate attacker of the rule of law. His assault on due process of law and contravention of extant laws cannot be over-emphasized. A loco classical example of his penchant for flagrant violation of rule of law is his refusal to comply to the order of court re-instating the elected and recognized APC EXCOs of Southern Senatorial District of Taraba State. All entreaties to him to allow the excos return to their duty posts proved abortive. The same Senator Bwacha having being sacked by a competent court of law with respect to his defection from PDP to APC has continued to parade himself not only as Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria but also attend sittings such as plenary session and committees meetings of the Senate. He has continue to draw salaries, emoluments and other fringe benefits due to a Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Most prominent of his atrocious act was the diversion of the funds meant for APC presidential rally in Taraba State. N200 million was allocated to Taraba State by APC presidential campaign council for presidential rally. Since the money was delivered to him, he decided to utilize it willy-nilly. Senator Bwacha claimed he gave the secretary of APC presidential campaign council, Hon. James Faleke the sum of N35 million out of the money and the remaining balance being shared to the candidates contesting elections who are new entrants like himself to our great party, APC.
Gentlemen of the press, ladies & gentlemen, we the leadership of APC Concerned Youth for Unity and Good Leadership are apprehensive and worried at Senator Bwacha candidacy. Senator Bwacha in the past called and referred to APC a Boko Haram party. He fought the founding leaders of the party fiercely and terribly. It is indeed a terrible oxymoron that the party he once alluded to as Boko Haram party, it's now his party of choice. As it is today, Senator Bwacha has no any electoral value in Taraba State due to his terrible political antecedents. He was vehemently instrumental to the destruction of PDP in Taraba State. Having made PDP unpopular, he decided to pitch tent with APC in order to destroy it same way he destroyed PDP.
If senator Bwacha is allow to fly APC ticket in Taraba State, there is 90% probability that even in the event he secures victory at the poll, the victory cannot stand the test of time because of his questionable academic credentials. He will definitely be removed because the discrepancies inherent in his academic records cannot be tolerated by any competent court of law in Nigeria.
In conclusion, the leadership of APC Concern Youth for Unity and Good Leadership having carefully perused the State of Affairs of our party APC in Taraba State wish to in strongest terms call on the APC presidential campaign council to be wary of presenting Senator Emmanuel Bwacha at the forthcoming APC Presidential Rally in Taraba State due to the reasons we have alluded to above. His victory will be victory for a second runner at the poll. "To forewarn is to be forearm". His purported and callous victory is being challenge and presently, the matter is before Supreme Court for verdicts. Presently APC has no governorship candidate in Taraba State pending the determination of the appeal before the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
