Exclusive: Hired Crowds At Gov. Ishaku's Campaign Flag Off Yet To Be Paid, Stranded In Wukari

A set of persons hired to attend Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku's Campaign Flag Off yesterday in Wukari told Taraba Truth and Facts Newspaper they were yet to be paid.

The sets of youths said they were transported from Jalingo to Wukari where Governor Ishaku flag off his senatorial campaign ahead of the election.

Vincent Ishaya who lives in ATC area of Jalingo said they were promised N3,000 each aside feeding and free transportation to Wukari for the campaign rally.

"They gave us shirt with the Governor's picture and we left Jalingo around 6am on Saturday in three Buses but after the ceremony the man who mobilized us said we arrived late and is offering us N1,000 each.

"Most of us slept in an open field, waiting for the buses to return to pick us back to Jalingo." Ishaya told Taraba Truth and Facts.
