Group Hails Oloye Ayodele Samuel For Contributing To Taraba’s Development At 31




 A group known as the Green Nigeria Project (GNP) in collaboration with  Sechi and Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) for Peace and Development has presented an award of honour to the Publisher of Taraba Truth and Facts Newspaper and Chief Executive Officer of the first private Radio station, in Taraba state, Mr. Oloye Ayodele Samuel.

 

The 'Green Award' was presented to the leading media entrepreneur in  Taraba state on Saturday at the Shield Hotel in Jalingo in a special occasion organised by the group to celebrate Taraba at 31st.

 

    SIECHI is a Nationwide organisation that is working in areas of good governance, promoting peace and unity and developments in the community.

 

According to one of the officials of the organizers, "we are collaborating with the Civil Society Organisations in Taraba state to recognize your efforts towards the development of the state particularly in the media sector".

 

The group said it recognizes Mr. Ayodele's contributions towards the development of Taraba state by establishing the first private Radio station, RockFM 92.3, Jalingo which is now the most powerful mass medium and has given the people of Taraba State a voice.

 

 

According to the group, " you bringing in the first private Radio station in Taraba state is seen as part of development and we view that since you came in, there is a change of mindset between the police and Keke napep People

 

"Also, a lot of discussion in the community as a result of your gender based violence enlightenment programmes going on in your radio station. These are some of the things that are actually promoting peace and is also promoting human and capital development in Taraba state".

 

The group stressed that after careful observations of so many things that has influenced policy making and developments in Tarawa State, Mr. Ayodele was considered worthy of the prestigious "Green Award" which is respected world wide.

Receiving the award on his behalf, Assistant News Editor of Rock FM92.3 Mr Hebrews Wubon said the recognition was well deserving..  

 

Other recipients of the award to celebrate Taraba at 31st.were former governor of the state, Rev. Jolly Nyame,  the incumbent governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku,  Chief David Sabo Kente, political, traditional and religious leaders who have contributed immensely to the development of the state.
