Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has been asked to provide more voter capturing machines to Sardauna Local Government Area of the State.

Wubon  said the number of voter capturing machines in Sardauna are inadequate.

He added that Sardauna requires more capturing machines in view of the land mass, population and the difficult terrain in Mambilla Plateau, hence the need for INEC to create more registration centers as well as procure more capturing machines to lessen the hardship being faced by eligible voters traveling from distant places.

The chairman also urged the staff of INEC in the area to be fair and transparent in carrying out their legitimate duties so as to ensure that all eligible voters are captured and should obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.

Wubon however disclosed that awareness campaign have been created on the importance and need for people to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

He therefore call on the residents of Mambilla Plateau to avail themselves to gain the opportunity which is the only tool to vote credible candidates of their choice in forthcoming general elections.
