Hon Danji SS Empowers Market Women, Fishermen, Students in Wukari, Ibbi

As part of his commitment to uplift the welfare of the people of his constituency, the Member representing Wukari Ibi Federal Constituency Hon Danjuma Usman shiddi has empowered women and students in his constituency with various items and amounts of money.
The lawmaker also shared about 500 boats and other fishing materials in Ibi, while Students apart from the scholarship, educational material were given to selected schools.
The School that benefited are GSS Wukari, Government Day Secondary School, Pwadza Primary School, Ebenezer primary school among others.
Women in Yam businesses were also empowered with funds to build up their business.
Furthermore, fishing materials were distributed to fishing communities in the constituency.
Speaking on the Programme, the Legislator said the idea of the empowerment programme is to take his people out of poverty.
While saying that he will empower five thousand women and youth the Legislator enjoined the people to judiciously make used of the money to better their life and never to sell off the items given.
According to him about 70 students from the Federal University Wukari and 50 from Taraba State University received his scholarship.
He said his duty is to give quality representation to the people and also attract dividend of democracy to the electorates in his constituency.
Responding some of the beneficiaries of the empowerment commended the Federal Legislator for the human gesture urging him to contest for a higher position in the next election.
A trader in Wukari, Mary Adi said the lawmaker's gesture shows he is connected to the ordinary people.
"Hon Danji SS coming to Yam market to interact with us shows that he has the ordinary people at heart, he gave us money to support our business which would go a long way in this economy, our politicians should emulate him, we the traders would support his ambition to go to Senate in 2023 because he is always connecting with us at the slightest opportunity."
