Constituents Hail Hon. David Fuoh For Turningaround Gashaka Kurmi Sardauna Federal Constituency in One Year

Residents of Gashaka Kurmi Sardauna Federal Constituency has commended its House of representative  member in 9th National Assembly, Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF)

The residents while reeling out his achievements in the last  365 Days of as Member Representing Gashaka Kurmi Sardauna Federal Constituency said Hon. David Abel Fuoh has used dividends of democracy to impact lives of the people.

Hon David Abel Fuoh has within the last 365 days of resuming as Hon. Member representing this Constituency, constituents are beginning to enjoy quality and refined representation. "Due to our terrain access to water is a major problem for us but within  his first year in office more than 200 Boreholes are roaring back to life across the three local governments providing  clean and drinkable water to thousands of people. If for these alone our people are happy with his performance ."

 

 

WATER:

 

First, he focused on water supply as the most important and challenging sector, that needs urgent attention and in less than 30 days of his inauguration, as Honorable Member House of Representative in the National Assembly, he funded the rehabilitation of more than 200 Boreholes to improve the quality of life in Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna Local Government Areas through a planned water supply rehabilitation Scheme. These include Three Solar Powered Boreholes sunk in Gembu, the headquarter of Sardauna Local Government Area located at Nasarawa Quarters, Veterinary Quarters and Mayo Lope Police Station area of the Town.

 

In Nguroje,  a town with a prolonged story of portable drinking water got a new lease of life with the his water rehabilitation scheme with  fixing of  many damaged water pipes in some Quarters of Nguroje and now the people enjoy water supply.

 

HEALTH

 

Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF)  has a special healthcare provision plans. He constructed  an ultra-modern Maternity Clinic at Kan Iyaka, a border town and sub hub of Mayo Ndaga ward, which is almost completed and ready for inauguration.

 

The construction of another modern healthcare centers are ongoing also at Dorofi a border town in Kabri ward and Kwarakwara, a border town in Warwar for which roofing have been completed.

 

Education

 

Education is one sector that the Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF) has given so much priority in the last one  year in office. He facilitated the construction of 3 blocks of class rooms , which is completed in the following schools.

 

GDSS Mayo Ndaga, GDSS Bem, Wah Primary School, GDSS Vakude, Mbamnga petel Primary School and Mbamnga Central Primary School, as well as the Rehabilitation of 3 class rooms at Jamtari primary school.

 

He also distributed free Exercise books to pupils and student in schools under his education intervention scheme. While construction of Exams hall at GDSS Ndarup is ongoing.

 

RURAL ELECTRIFICATION

 

Inclusive Representative and participatory Democracy, is one key component of Honorable David Abel Fuoh leadership mantra, this has in the first one year helped him liase with electorate at the grassroots and have made it easy for him to identify the most important and life touching projects that , is urgently needed to help improve the living standard of rural dwellers. One of such intervention is the Rural Electrification of Communities through the provision of Solar Street lights and Reactivation of Rural Electrification Station.

Through this intervention, Solar Street lights have been installed in the following communities: Gidan Mallam, Baisa ward, Asha in Njuande ward, Kpawola in Baisa ward Didan in Didan ward and Abong town all of Kurmi Local Government Area. While Garbabi, Gayam and Mayo Selbe in Gashaka Local Government and Kan Iyaka and Mbamnga town in Sardauna Local Government area also had their fair share in the intervention.

 

Reactivation of Rural Electrification Boards. 

 

 REB station in Maisamari town of Nguroje ward Nguroje constituency, Mayo Ndaga town in Gembu Constituency and Mbamnga town in in Mbamnga Constituency, all in Sardauna Local Government Area have been refurbished, broken poles and power cables fixed and new street lights added with more than3/months diesel supplied to provide at least 3hours light daily.

So also, the REB station in Baisa town Kurmi Local Government Area has been refurbished, broken poles and power cables all fixed to also provide 3hours light daily to the communities in line with SDG Goal 7 of providing Clean and decent energy for all before 2030.

 

Other infrastructural development initiated and achieved by Honorable David Abel Fuoh include the roofing of CRC-N church, Danbeki in Kurmi Local Government Areas and Reconstruction of Abong Market in Kurmi local Government. 

 

JOB OPPORTUNITY/ EMPOWERMENT

 

Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF)  has also wades into tackle youth empowerment by engaging seven youths with National Assembly as Legislative Aides, Secretary and Special Assistants as well as, engaged two with the Federal Polytechnic Bali, another with Nigerian Correctional Service, one with Nigeria Air Force through Direct Short Service

One with Nigeria Army through Direct Short Service, 30 Youth have also Undergone Army recruitment and will be Passing out as Men and officers of Nigeria Army on the 27th of June 2020.

Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF) in his quest to empower his constituents lobbied and Secured Water pumping Machines and motor cycles for more than 43 beneficiaries in his constituencies.

 

MOTIONS

 

In the area of Legislative functions, Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF)  is one of the most active member on the floor of the Green Chamber, this is inline with the  mandate of the good people of Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna Federal Constituency given to him for quality representation at the National Assembly. In a landmark motion, Hon. David Abel Fuoh (DAF) called attention of the Federal Government to plight of his constituents who have been living without electricity since inspection of the Country. He moves the motion calling on the Federal Government to connect Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna Federal Constituency to National Grid.

Moving that historic motion, he observed that, the completion of Kashimbilla Hydro power project will make it easier for the Federal Government, through Yola Electricity Distribution Company to connect his Constituency to the National Grid through the Federal Government Power Sector Reform program.

The motion was adopted and the National Assembly directed the Minister of Power to connect his Constituency to the National Grid as requested.
