Aliyu Jalo Donates Cash, Salah Cloths To 700 Youths, Others in Gashaka
Worried by the effect of coronavirus on his people, young philanthropist and grassroot politician, Hon. Aliyu Jalo, has distributed Ramadan Eid-el-Fitri palliative to the people of Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State to facilitate a memorable festival celebration.
The beneficiaries of the palliative which consists of cash donations and yards of fabrics include the All Progressive Congress (APC) executives from wards and local government levels, over 700 youths and People Living with Disabilities in Gashaka LGA.
Known for his large heart and philanthropic gesture, Jalo contested for the APC ticket of Taraba State House of Assembly, Gashaka constituency had been providing succor to the poor and vulnerable since 2009, eyewitness said Jalo ensured no one was left out during the distribution which started right from wards level, critical stakeholders to inside Serti Metropolis area of the local government.
Speaking on the gesture, Usman Ibrahim, a resident of Gashaka said Jalo had been known for reaching out to his people, adding that he had always prioritize welfare of the vulnerable especially during festive times.
On his part, Zailani Adamu, one of the beneficiaries from Mayo Selbe ward of Gashaka LGA applauded the efforts of Hon Aliyu Jalo for his contribution in bringing succor to the people.
"I was in opposition since 2003 playing politics, but nobody recognized my efforts, until now that we have a friendly, competent and trustworthy person that we can whole heartedly give him a mantle of leadership to lead us without any iota of doubt," he said.
Jalo, however, urged the beneficiaries to utilize the palliative by ensuring their families have a memorable and modest celebration while respecting social distancing and maintaining his level of personal hygiene to mitigate community spread of coronavirus.
"We are in a critical period, though, I'm not an elective person nor an appointee but my people are my utmost priority and I will continue to carter for their need where possible. This is not my first time of providing Sallah materials and other help to my people and it will not be the last Insha Allah," he said.
