Gov. Ishaku Rescues Little Boy With Eyes Cancer
•Donates 500,000 for surgery
Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku has donated the sum of five hundred thousand nairas for clinical surgery and rehabilitation of a child with eye cancer in the state.
The gesture, it was gathered, was part of the governor's resolve to prioritize the citizens' welfare and ensure their safety from any health-related challenges.
The patient, identified as Collins Clement, hailed from Mika Tsohon Gari of Yorro Local Government Area of the state.
Prior to the gesture from the Governor, Clement's family had been seeking help from some well-meaning individuals after he was referred to Kano Hospital for an eye surgery.
However, Governor Ishaku rose to the occasion after messages shared on social media by the patient's family seeking for help went viral and was subsequently brought to his attention.
Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Ishaku Elisha Abbo had personally called the attention of Governor Ishaku to Clement's plight.
The governor instructed a member of the state's House of Assembly representing Yorro Local Government Area to locate Clement's family and later donated the needed amount for the surgery.
