Owoya Ekpo Honored As Best Corps Member in Taraba State
Hon Abdulnasir Bobboji, Executive Chairman of Jalingo local
government council of Taraba State has presented an award of excellence to
Emmanuel Owoya Ekpo; a native of Olachor- Okpoma in Yala local government area.
Receiving the award at the Council Secretariat,
Jalingo-Taraba State in company of the NYSC Zonal Inspector, Jalingo Zone, Mr.
Sidi Bako and the State Coordinator, Mrs Florence Yakugh represented by the
Head of Project, the awardee dedicated the prestigious award to, Chief Jude
Ogbeche Ngaji, Okadeya 1 of Yala whom he describe as his leader and mentor.
" Ngaji words of encouragement and motivation has been
superb. I can't ask for a better boss than him to work with. Working with Chief
Jude from day one has taught me the true essence of giving to humanity,
believing in yourself and philanthropy", Owoya said.
The recipient said he received tremendous commendations,
countless prayers and gifts courtesy of the laudable projects he embarked as a
Youth Corps Member at the IDP Camp, Jalingo, Taraba State. Amongst are four
recommendation letters that would aid him secure a job of his choice within the
state if he choose to, transportation fare and other financial bonuses too
numerous to mention
"I was encouraged to share this with my fellow youths
in other to boost, motivate and encourage them to also make a mark and
sustainable difference in anywhere they find their selves', the elated Owoya
further said.
Emmanuel Owoya Ekpo, a member of #TeamJudeOgbecheNgaji Media
Wing was among the 2018 Batch "C" National Youth Service Corps in
Taraba State. During his service year, he donated several sleeping mats,
slippers and other materials to Internally Displaced Persons at Kona Primary
School, Kona, Jalingo. The award was in recognition of his invaluable contributions
to the growth and development of Jalingo local government area of Taraba State.
