Two months after Dr. Gambo Jibril death, Taraba SSG ordered eviction of family from University Quarters

Secretary to Taraba State Government, Pa. Antony Jellason has order the immediate eviction of the family of  late Dr. Gambo Jibril Yakubu from its official quarters. 
Dr Gambo who died in May this year, was renowned lecturer at the Taraba state University,  Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science, until his death.
Dr. Gambo before his death lived with his family in the university  quarters which is directly managed by the university management.






The SSG last week went to the late Dr. Gambo residence in the University quarters  with police and ordered that late Gambo's family should vacate the house immediately, he however refuses to give reasons for his order.
An eyewitness told Taraba Truth and Facts that the SSG was brutal with his threats, ''acting like a landlord owed many years of unpaid rents.''
A University source said it was wrong for the SSG to interfere with the running of the university, particularly management of staff quarters, stressing that its Families of late staff of the university are always allowed to stay in their quarters for a longer period.

Another family source said the SSG is interested in buying the property for personal use and has resorted to intimidation to kick out the Gambo's to enable him declare it vacant.
''We are not the only family living in the quarters that has a similar condition but non of the family was asked to leave the quarters, infact the SSG personal asked for Mr. Gambo residence when he drove into the quarters, showing it was a targeted action.
The SSG is famous for evicting civil servants from their homes if perceived to be sharing different political believes with him. 
Pa. Jellason however said it was mischievous to say he ordered the eviction of the late Gambo's family from the quarters insisting that the state government was only looking for unoccupied quarters.
''Yes I went there with officials of Ministry of Housing to check for quarters that are not occupied,'' the SSG told our reporter before ending a call put across to him. He however did not answer subsequent calls put to him.
