APC Stakeholders reconcile in Abuja, Condemn Crisis, Killings in Jalingo, Wukari

The Taraba State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC at the weekend in Abuja held a Stakeholders Meeting at the International Conference Centre, Abuja to reconcile all members of the party after the last general election.

The Meeting chaired by State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi has in attendance all APC State Executive, its Governorship Candidate in the March 9, 2019 Gubernatorial Election, Sen. Sani Abubakar Danladi, Former Acting Governor Alh. Garba Umar UTC, Comr. Bobboi Bala Kaigama, Chief David Sabo Kente and Chief Ezekiel Afukunyo. Senator Taraba Central Senatorial District, Sen. Yusuf A. Yusuf, Barr. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, Sen. Abubakar Umar Tutare, Sen. Marafa Bashir Abba, RT Hon. Habu Isa Ajiya, Engr Ahmed Yusuf among others.

The meeting reconciled all aggrieved members of the party who were at loggerheads with the party and with one another as a result of the fallout in the outcome of the party’s congresses to elect party officials at all levels and the primary election of the Party to produce its candidates for the 2019 general elections as well as the party’s style of leadership in the State.
The meeting appreciated and commended the persistent efforts of the party’s Governorship flag bearer in the disputed March 9, 2019 Gubernatorial Election in Taraba State, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Sani Abubakar Danladi for his vigorous pursuit of the party’s mandate by the people of Taraba State at the Taraba State Election Petition Tribunal. The meeting also appreciated the efforts of all its Candidates in the last general elections particularly those pursuing their mandates at the Election Petition Tribunal.

The party agreed to pursue vigorously with one voice all the existing vacancies and appointments meant for Taraba State at the Federal Government for the benefit of the party and Taraba State in general.

The meeting also resolved to pursue the position of National Secretary of the Party by endorsing Barr MB Mustapha and National Youth Leader, North East at the National Secretariat of the Party, and will in due course filled all the existing vacancies in the Wards, Local Governments and State executive of the party.

The Taraba State APC Stakeholders condemned bitterly the senseless killing, kidnapping and destruction of public properties going on in the state as a result of manageable communal clashes among the good citizens of Taraba State who had a long term standing history of brotherhood and good neighborliness and indicted the Taraba State Government of failing woefully to meet up with its constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and properties of all its citizens without fear and favour irrespective of our religious, ethnics and regions.

The Stakeholders stressed that Taraba State belongs to all of us, we cannot remain passive and watch our people killing and displacing one another on a daily basis. We in the APC will not allow Tarabans to become refugees in their own state. Taraba must be secure and remain safe.
