Taraba CAN charges Jukun, Tiv to put a stop to killings

The Taraba state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Solomon Innocent has Tuesday, charged the Jukun and Tiv people in Wukari local government area of the state to urgently put a stop to the ongoing fight and killings that has taken over their community.
Innocent, who stated this in Jalingo while briefing newsman said the renewed hostilities among the two tribes, has led to loss of some many lives.
“The Jukun and the Tiv people have been living together for long. No reason why to carry arms against one another.They is no need quarrelling and fighting, they should allow the love of God to manifest in our lives” he said.
He appeals to the Jukun and Tiv communities to lay down their arms and leave in peace with one another.
“Let everyone of us sacrifice for the peace of one another, let’s give Peace a chance in Taraba. Nigeria is a Country where innocent blood has been shed unnecessarily. I am begging Nigeria and Nigerians, Let’s give Peace a chance” he noted.
